VW Bora airbag light reset

    Hi

    Would anyone in Dublin 15 be able to reset the fault codes my dads 2010 bora. It happened after I put in a new car kit.

    Can bring the car to whoever is kind enough to help

    You have to be very careful wiring things into modern VAGs.
    Have you any idea what you did to trigger the light?
    I'd be happy to reset it for you but it will only reset if a component or wiring has not been damaged.

    Thanks for the reply.

    It happened when I went to fit a new car kit, took out the air vent cowling and radio. I plugged out the hazard light switch and "passenger air bag off" light - turned on the car and the airbag light came one

    Tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery allowing it to retest everything. This caused the steering wheel symbol, traction control and airbag lights to come on and stay on

    Hope this make sense

    I done the same thing with a Passat. You can clear it in 2 minutes.

    Plug a vag com cable ito your car and use the software to reset the fault.
