Apps won't install?

    Brother got a new phone there for xmas. When i am trying to install any application or games from Android Market, after dowloading completion at the time of installation i am getting the following error message 'Could'nt install on USB storage or SD card'. This is happening most of the time while at times I am able to install some games/app fine. I am using Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop S5570. I am using a 2 GB memory SD card and there is ample space in it & also in the phone memory. What could be the problem out here. Any advice?

    It's running gingerbread firmware. Meteor network.

    I downloaded the Facebook app no problem?

    Some apps cannot be installed to the SD card AFAIK.

    Get "Apps 2 SD" from the market, and move apps after you install them to phone memory might be worth a try.

    I have tried a good few apps including popular ones like angry birds and paper toss etc. if no apps installed at all I would suspect a problem but considering Facebook installed no problem I'm sure there is just a simple setting or something!

    If your trying when it is recharging, the memory card is most likely not mounted on the phone and has tried to mount to the computer it is connected to.

    Otherwise, it sounds like the SD card is loose. Open up the back of the phone and push the memory stick to see if it will go further in.
