Hi all, i wonder if anyone else has had a problem when fireing the 1911? when i fire it maybe after a couple of rounds it cocks like it is out of bbs, even though there are bbs in the mag and one in the chamber. i have to then manually uncock it by pulling back the hammer and when i go to fire it again it still dose the same. I have took it apart and had a look inside and noting obvious is wrong. I wonder if it is a mag problem although the seem to be working ok too and not leeking. Any insight or advise would be great. thanks.

Either your magazine valve needs adjusting, or your sear/leaf spring needs looking at

try another mag, if you don't have one ask a mate or someone at an airsoft site to find out if it's the mag or the pistol itself

I had the same problem the sping on the hammer is not strong enough to hold it all the way down in the cocked position. So i filed a few millimeters off the top of the hammer

kind of had the same problem as frostbite the hammer was getting locked under the slide a few times. try his way aswell as it may not be the mags

As I said before, either your magazine valves are in too tight, or your sear/leaf spring is not catching the hammer properly and needs adjusting. Both are free to adjust - all you need to do is loosen the valve in the mag, or pop out the pin at the bottom of the pistol grip and remove the spring housing; that big piece of silver with 3 prongs is your leaf/sear spring.

Two things to check are that it is seated correctly, and is in the correct position (sometimes the middle prong needs to be bent forward/backward accordingly).

These are the two main things that can happen a 1911, especially Co2 ones (i.e. the mag valve possibility).

Don't go near the sear/leaf spring without testing the magazine possibility first. They can be VERY fiddly to adjust, and does take some getting used to.
