I got a present of a mid gpad tablet for christmas off the missus. It runs on android 2.2. It fairly slow is there anyway to speed it up or change the operating system. I know its a cheap tablet but as it was a present i need to keep it. It would be grand if it was quicker. Anyone know what i can do?

I should note im not very good with the tech stuff so any help would be great

    cheers

The speakers are very low on it even when volume is on full. Any ideas on how to fix this aswel?

Use headphones or a small external speaker - pretty much all cheap tablets have useless speakers. The only thing that might speed it up is using some application (AndroidAssistant or similar) to make sure an absolute minimum of apps are using resources.

That's weird... Are there hardware buttons for volume up/down? Is everything set to max in whatever media player you're using and in the general volume controls under Settings?

Yes there is volume buttons on the side of it and volume controls on the screen. Everything is set to max
