Shocked at the way the loyal workers are been treated at Christmas time. They should receive all our support.
Suprized that none of the Union officers have not went to fethard to meet with owner Jack Ronan at his Mansion.
Hope Jack is not too busy Hunting with the White Heathers to meet with his staff.

can someone - anyone - answer me a really simple question?

are they getting their statutory redundancy payment - you know.. the one that's subsidised by the government?

i find it really strange that this is left out of every news report i've read about this.

It's a great place to find news if you are interested:confused:

The workers are certainly in for the long haul and the very best of luck to them. I wonder how long it will be before the electricity will be turned off?
Jack is trying to put pressure and the obligation on NAMA and the frozen account with 2.5million in it, where it seems logical that he has the obligation.

What a Desperate Christmas on those poor workers.
Cork Businessman Richard Pratt of P.S.S is part of the Jack Ronan Team.
It might be a very good idea for the Union Reps or the Workers to contact & meet up with Mr.Pratt as he would have major influence.
Its a disgrace what Mr. Ronan is putting those poor workers through after all their service. None of this is the workers fault.

    Anyone coming to tomorrow's protest?

"The Cork Council of Trade Unions is organising a protest in support of the workers outside the factory this coming Saturday. We are asking all our friends, family and supporters to join the demonstration. Your support has been incredible so far and we hope that you will continue to stand with us. Let's send a loud message to Jack Ronan - We will not break and we shall not be moved."

Fair play to the Vita Cortex workers on their victory. Hate to see the likes of this fella David O Connor benefiting from it though - you'll remeber him as the champion of workers rights who organised the call between Jim Power and Sir Alex Ferguson http://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/kfidmhqlmhgb/rss2/

O Connor has just had a judgement against him for -you guessed it - not paying his own staff! Thats not on Mr O Connor - not on!

Sign-up to thrash? - not at all evilivor. The judgement itself will be in the public domain soon enough. Watch this space.

So, in other words, you have no proof, just hearsay?
