This year we've decided to have a change and a 3.8-kg Polish oats-fed goose is in the oven right now. There's a very appetising smell coming from the kitchen.:)

There's a 3.8kg goose in my oven too :) All stuffed with a spud, apple, orange and herb stuffing. Smells great - am procrastinating about going to peel more spuds, and enjoying an adult beverage in the meantime. Just pulled a cracker (not a euphemism). Q: who is the most famous married woman in America? A: Mrs Ippi :) Silly paper hat going on head now!

I live across the road from a Bird Sanctuary (The Lough in Cork), Dad was walking the dog yesterday, a couple got talking to him, they were setting free a Goose they got as a Christmas present, they couldn't bring themselves to kill and eat it. Dad saw it this morning, seemed happy out. Lucky Goose, odds were he was due to be crapped out in a few hours :pac:

We just do a crown, 1hr 45mins in oven. and you don't need to see it for a week.

Ham and spiced beef done day before.

If I had to feed the millions with a full bird I'd cook it in advance too.

Doing the whole thing is rough, 4 years in and I have my game sorted.

Everything else that isn't meat, basically! Christmas dinner minus turkey and ham.
