    Grant got accepted (yay!!)

I have a question about the acceptance letter, it says

    "Award amount : €3120.00
Fees : Undergraduate student contribution €2000"

I have already paid my own fees (wasn't sure I was getting the grant or not so wanted to plan ahead and loaned/scraped the money together). Does the above mean I will now get €5120? Or how does it work?

Also, any idea how the instalments are paid out?

it means either the college or county council will refund the 2000 - check with the fees office

a lot of colleges pay in 3 instalments

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You will have to inform the finance department that your grant application has been accepted, bring teh letter with you as proof. They will then get on to the councel and teh councel will send you a check for the 2000. You will then get the rest of your maintenance in installments. However as you have only just gotten approved teh second installment will be ready for collection pretty soon after christmas break. This means you will most likely get 2 installments at once so you should get over 2 grands worth plus your 2 grand check all within the same period of time. Pretty sweet, just dont get too spend happy with it!

I sent off the final acceptance letter (the one that needs bank details and to be stamped by your college) yesterday, so assuming they get it tomorrow, when should I expect my first payment?
