I have a uncle who has a 2011 C200 CDI Merc that has started to show 3 Seatbelt Symbols on the Insturment Cluster after you start the engine that stay on is this a airbag problem. I did a bit of internet research on it . What i found out is it seem to be sensors in the seatbelt locks that go faulty is this correct it seem if this is the problem your airbags might not go off if you are in a accident If you dont get a reset.

Hi that is correct ur airbags are disarmed with the light on on Mercedes.i work on Mercedes a good bit and the two common faults with the airbags systems are 1 the seat recognition pad and 2 the seat belt clasp they go faulty we deal with theses day in day out and if it's just the seat belt clasp there handy fix the pad is a bit more difficult.but don't touch it that car is under warranty so bring it to mercedes and let them sort it,also request a replacement car while they do the work.

Thanks whyte027ks for the speedy reply so he can expect to be without the car for a few days as it is not a quick fix i will tell him that thanks again.

Well the seat belt clasps are quick enough and the pad just requires the seat being stripped down.but two days max I'd say in fairness but then again it all depends how quick they have the parts in my own place that job would be in and out within a half day.with the least hassle for the customer.and if u get no joy with the dealer ring mb Ireland but with it being a 2011 car u should be fine.if ur ever stuck for advice on the merc I'd be delighted to answer anything you have
