Right now is my favourite festive tradition: the Atheist Hour of Solitude as the rest of the family attends religious services :P

But yes: merry Festivus to one and all.

I got dragged to mass. I feel sorry for the kids. I remember it was pure torture when I was younger.

Bit old to be dragged to mass, no?

The only way I'd ever go again would be with the soul purpose of pocketing the eucharist so I could take it home and film myself burning it.

Excommunication ftw. Only way you can get out of the church now after they've removed defection! :pac:

On that festive note, happy holidays everyone!

Great time to be starting a new Zelda game alright. None myself, but my sister's boyfriend bought her a 3DS. ooT being started tomorrow.

Happy Christmas everyone. May all your games in the new year be Edge rated 6/10.

Hardly surprising then that you bought Duke Nuke Forever given your penchant for lower scoring games!
His next purchases will be Haze and Resistance 2!

I know piracy is bad kids, etc...but when it comes to a stinker like Duke Nukem Forever, why the **** did you pay for it?! All morality goes out the window with a game like that.

I sent 5 euros on DNF but never bought a copy of System Shock 2 :(

    Weirdo!

There, I said it, someone had too!

In my defence I only had a P100 from chrimbo 1996 to summer of 2001 so didn't have a PC that could run the game at the time. Missed out on a big olden age of PC gaming then.

They were the best of times,
    Buying a game..
Spending the first few hours trying to get it to recognise your sound card, your videocard...
    Getting DirectX to work..
Wondering why your entire desktop is now rendered in lego-block resolution...
    Good times..

That said, we did have Mechwarrior 3 and the like to keep me going!

Happy Christmas, I got Dues Ex: Human revolution. Very much enjoying it

I've been eating toblerones all day and all I could think of was this

Awesome day here, got a full Krups espresso machine pack with cups, 150 packs of coffee and a storage box. Got my traditional Cliff Richard calendar I get every year and a sizeable gift voucher I'm going to put towards pre-ordering a Vita.

Back to the gargle now! Hope all of ye are having a great day! :)

Not really for me. 1997 onwards was a breeze. Dos4GW was a breeze as well. All you had to know was your sound card settings and you were flying. Anything before DOS4GW though was a disaster and games would work based on cloud cover and the phases of the moon.

DirectX gaming was very easy as well, other than the first iteration of directx. If you installed in on your computer it would install itself as the video card and cause all kinds of **** ups. After the initial version though it was pretty much plug and play.

    Pre-ordering on of these?

Ho ho ho! Merry NKrismas Pyongyang!

After the initial sell out, myself and Little Ms. Monkeyto could walk into Yodobashi Camera and buy one over the counter. Oddly enough, the Electronic Dictionary I bought her cost more than the Vita she bought me!

It's a very nice machine. With great stalker potential I might add!

(Ignore the Naga, side-gift for myself)

    Wow! Very nice! :)

Looking forward to seeing what you think of it.

I'm sticking with the EU edition though, for the sake of a month and a bit it's not worth the extra cost to import one. Plus Cave haven't released their Vita lineup yet so it's still a 3DS to me, aka a console with no games. :D

Hope all of ye had a great day yesterday and took time to reflect and remember by calling loved ones near and far to tell them it's my birthday tomorrow! :D

I like how you don't seem to have any good games for your Vita, Anto :pac:

And I also cannot agree with buying a memory card with the Sony tax, either.

Oh well, I'm sure you'll find some enjoyment out of it.
