Tax Relief at Source gone down

Hi, i just checked my mortgage and its gone up as the tax relief has gone down. Is this a cheeky government stunt on christmas Eve or what? Isint it supposed to go up in the new year for those who bought btwn 2004 - 2008 (I'm one of them)
