hi, im looking to buy a new car, either a 07/08 7 series 730d or a similar s320 cdi.
which one should i go for.
budget is no more than 27,000 euros.
one of my kids wants to get the 7 series and the other the s class.
    i personally dont mind either.

I had the S320CDi for 2 days last year, personally didnt like it.
It was like a boat going around corners, and even on round abouts at normal speeds, it just felt very van like going around.

got out and into a 5 series MSport, and the difference was night and day!

Best advice you'll get is go test drive both, and try get extended test drives, not just a 5 min spin around the block.

OP ... I'm not sure what if it's GTA 3 or 4 you are playing but I'm full sure either car won't cost you a penny.

Personally I used to prefer to go for the Porkie when playing San andres GTA .. Gave me the real feel of driving a Porsche when I was a kid

Are you talking about the 2006 onwards S Class? While its a big comfortable car, it is quite good in how it behaves. To compare it to a 5 series and say that the bmw is far ahead is bmw fanboy stuff IMO.

I would go for the S320 cdi myself. Stunning car overall.

I got the same feeling in an 2010 S350, its eerily detached from the road, its like you're in boat, gently swaying across the sea. Its so smooth and refined that it kinda felt like it was driving itself. As much as I appreciated it for what it does and what it is supposed to do, I wouldn't have one as an everyday car I don't think, didn't really like the whole floaty feel to it.
