Depressurize Fuel System

I've been having a problem with my 2000 Feshty for the last couple of days. The engine won't catch it's idle when the foot's taken off the gas, and cuts out. Pretty sure it's an issue with the idle control valve, should be able to tackle that myself. However the greater problem lies with depressurizing the fuel before going at it.

I've been trying to disable the fuel pump and letting the car die, however I can't get the pump to turn off. Gone through and removed every fuse in the auxiliary box, the only two that results in car death is the one for the EMU and, according to the manual, the one for the ABS. It doesn't help that the diagrams in the manual don't match what's actually there, so no idea which relay is which either, and I'd prefer not to go messing with them. Is it possible that at some stage the garage replaced the fuse box and/or bypassed it? It's only ever really been in a Ford dealer so I'd be doubtful of this. I've tried gaining access to the Schrader valve under the air filter assembly but this is awkward and there are some metal clips on the rubber air duct to the throttle that look like I'd have to break so I'm reluctant to go that way.

Any ideas how I can depressurize the fuel? And/or sort out the electrics? I'd hate to bring it in to a garage for being unable to fix a simple problem because of a completely unrelated one.

Is it a 1.25 or the 1.3? If its the 1.25 plug out the inertia switch, think its in around the passenger side and start it to get the pressure down to zero. The fuse is F31(20 amp) and relay is K20 but dont remove them or the the engine won't start since that feeds the coils as well as the pump.
Let me know if its not a 1.25

It is indeed the 1.25! Disconnected the switch and engine starved pretty sharpish. Will tackle the idle valve as soon as it is light. There's a nasty single use hose clamp on the air intake duct that I must figure out first. Thanks for the help!
