Get out and bring the kids along to watch the beautiful Christmas "star" :) cross over the sky this weekend.
Travelling at 17500 mph, 5 miles every second at a height of 220 miles, it is the largest and most complex object ever put into space by humans. The International Space Station has now been orbiting the Earth every 90 minutes since 1998. It is a legacy of the Space Shuttle programme and an object we should be proud of as a species. Spare a thought for the 6 guys aboard away from family and friends this Christmas.
