    Move the seat forward? :pac:

I assume you could move the seat rails forward if you're stuck

You could order these from North Korea now that Kim Jong Ill doesn't need them anymore

I think the best option would be aluminium blocks bolted to the pedals.

    Shoes would be cumbersome.

    Kinda like your style.

Mind me asking how she didn't realise this when she was test driving it? Id assume you could have the rails moved up a bit.

Is there definitely no more seat adjustment that can be done? I wouldn't have thought that 5ft was that short for a small enough car?

How did she get this far in here driving experience?

Something smells here. My Aunt is around 5ft and drives a '04 golf no problem with the seat pulled up. There are a lot of people around 5ft so I can't see car manufactures messing up on this.

Either the clutch pedel is not as it should be or something is stopping the seat coming forward all the way.

Stretch her on a rack for a few days.

For every thing or just driving? ;)

Beware of making mechanical / physical changes to the pedals as they might become an NCT / Insurance issue.

Some cars had facilities to reverse the seat-bracket (the bit that joins the seat to the runners) for tall or small people; I'm not sure about your gf's car though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,349 ✭✭✭Jimmy Garlic

Sit her on your lap.. you can use the pedals and she can turn the wheel and all the other stuff.:pac:

+1 two of my sisters are 5ft and have had numerous different cars with no problem. My mams not much taller and no probs either.

The OP's girlfriend might have short legs and a longer torso.

Tell her to drive everywhere in first gear. Problem solved.

I'm not sure if this thread is serious, but certainly it's not going anywhere good.

    Thread closed.
