I know most people here will be pilots and have huge totals but I am interested in seeing the stats for what you have flown outside of the cockpit!

For work I have been to Sydney and back to Ireland twice.
Multiple trips Sydney to Singapore and Sydney to Hong Kong.
    Also been to Tokyo.

My frequent flyer account with SQ (Star Alliance) says 85,000 miles and my Qantas (one world) says 35,000 miles.

So I am looking at 120,000 this year plus four aerlingus flights (LHR -> ORK return and LHR -> DUB return)

    Airlines flown

    Air NZ
    Aerlingus
    Virgin Atlantic
    Qantas
    BA
    Singapore Airlines

Aircraft that I can remember and some from booking confirmations.

    747-400 - BA
    A340-600 Virgin
    777-200ER Air NZ
    A380-800 Singapore Airlines
    A330-300 Singapore Airlines
    A320-100/200 Aerlingus
    777-200/300 BA

Havent listed duplicate Aircraft if flown with multiple airlines.

    Get you, George Clooney!

I don't think I've ever accumulated more than 60,000 in a year and certainly in the last couple of years it's been no more than 10,000 p.a.

Any sign of you coming back to the Parish?

    As a pax this year:

    FlyBe
    Aer Lingus
    Emirates
    Etihad
    BMI

Haven't kept a record, but off the top of my head as pax:

Abu Dhabi - Dublin return 3 times A330
    Dubai - London return 3 times A319/20/21
    London - Belfast once A320
    Dubai- Birmingham return once A320
Dubai - Glasgow return once B77W
    Dubai - Shanghai twice B77W
Dubai - Sao Paulo once B77L
    Dakar - Dubai once B77F
Birmingham - Dublin return twice B77W
Dubai - Milan return once A343/B77W

Add on top of that just over 900 hours of operating time on flights too.

    Jetlag is my bitch.

    Lufthansa A321 Frankfurt Main - Dublin x 1

I doubt that. Didn't do quite so many hours this year in the cockpit never mind out of it. Managed 70 hours stick time in April. But the rest of the months were not so busy.

As for airline flying, well there were two, out and back from Tenerife via Ryanair. Apart from that there were a few hours right passengering in light aircraft but that's about it.

    Not exactly impressive.

This year saw me take less flights than 2010 but I was still happy enough.

    Aer Lingus
    Cork-Heathrow A320

    Etihad
    Heathrow to Abu Dhabi A340-600
    Abu Dhabi to Bangkok B777-300ER

    Thai Air
    Chiang Mai to Bangkok A300-600R

    Bangkok Airways
    Ko Samui to Bangkok A319-100

    Etihad
    Bangkok to Abu Dhabi B777-300ER
    Abu Dhabi to Heathrow A340-600

    Aer Lingus
    Heathrow to Cork A320

    Ryanair
    Kerry to Stansted B737-800

So nine flights in total for 2011 with 5 different airlines, with Etihad, Thai and Bangkok Air being my trips with them.

    Roughly 30 hours flying time!

mine is about 70 flights, the airports i was in this year were - longest journey was dublin to egypt once, but 6 times to bucharest, 5 them return via frankfurt as there are no return flights on weekends. flew with blueair once, banessa is the worst building ive ever been in, in my life.

    dublin
    manchester
    leeds
    birmingham
    liverpool
    heathrow
    gatwick
    stanstead
    frankfurt
    bucharest otp
    bucharest ban
    oslo ry
    talinn
    brussels charl
    thessaloniki
    sharm el sheik
    riga

the majority of these were in 320 or 737s, infact i think they all were :(

i would say 50 of those were with ryanair, about 12 with lufthansa and 6 with aer lingus, one charter to egypt and one flight with blueair.

its been 2 years since ive been in anything bigger than a 321 :(

    2011 flights:

    4 DUB-LGW-DUB
    2 DUB-BHX-DUB
    DUB-MAN-DUB
    DUB-CWL-DUB
    DUB-AMS-DUB
Connemara-Inishmaan-Inisheer-Inishmore-Connemara (I can't remember the codes for half of those)

The "normal" flights were all 320s and one ATR72 trip, very boring year for different airframes.

The Aer Arran Islands one was a case of being on a merged flight - Inisheer doesn't have much traffic so I had to go to Inishmaan on the way out and Inishmore on the way back. That was also the only trip I had to do for work in 2011, but it looks as if 2012 could include some trips to the middle east and possibly Asia.

    Not a pilot/avaiation employee

27 Sectors flown in 2011, all short haul leisure flights. Reduced from 51 in 2010 - the downturn is having an impact!

    Airlines:
    bmi (12)
    Aer Lingus (3)
    SAS (8)
    SWISS (4)

    Destinations:
London Heathrow, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Zurich, Barcelona

    Aircraft:
    MD-80/B737/A319/A320/A321

Looking forward to a trip to NZ in 2012 courtesy of bmi Diamond Club!

    Airports in 2011

    Dublin
    Belfast City
    Belfast International
    Aberdeen
    Kirkwall
    Edinburgh
    Stansted
    Heathrow
    CDG
    Brest
    Quimper
    Rennes
    Nantes
    Orly
    Billund
    Abu Dhabi
    JFK
    Philadelphia
    Halifax
    Toronto Pearson
    Montreal
    St. John

Only notable flight was on an ancient 747 from Montreal to CDG with AF. Horrible experience.

A total of 65 flights, went from nothing to gold with Flying Blue in 3 months.

How can anybody afford that amount of flightS? Are you rich or something what's your secret? I'm not poor or middle class (above) and I couldn't afford more than maybe 10 flights at the most a year! And 10 long haul flights? Were do you get the money for that? It's like £800 per flight! Are you all pilots or something? Because I doubt many of you are super rich!

Most very frequent flyers are doing it for work, I'd imagine.
