Most people will be finishing work tomorrow (Friday) so first of all I'd like to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the forum during the year. We have a damn good forum (and sub forums) here and that's mostly due to you, the people who ask and answer the questions and debate each and every issue that arises. Thank you.

I would also like to take the opportunity, on my own behalf and on behalf of all the forum mods, to wish each and every one of you a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

Have a good one people but above all, have a safe one. :)

While I add my agreement to the sentiments above, and wish everyone who posts, or visits these parts, all the best for a happy and peaceful Xmas.

So to all who self-built and are in a new home, I hope it is what you planned, and is safe and secure, above all if you have children, I do hope you put in a chimney, for Santa on Sat night.

I propose a change to Building Reg's that all homes with children, must install a chimney.

Finally I can't help but think, with all the contributors who post regurarly, and promptly to questions, is that some of you may be, under-employed, un-employed, or sitting in your offices, waiting for some business, to turn up, and log on to Boards, to keep the brain ticking over.

Let's hope the New Year, brings about an improvement in all our fortunes, personally I would settle for a return to my standard of living of two years ago, I do not want to see a return to the madness of the Tiger Years.

So happy Christmas to you all, ( specially the Mod's ) and lets return in the New Year, eager to fight our corner, and share our experiences.

Happy christmas to all on here. I look forward to a few good debates in the new year. I'm also looking forward to posting in the live self-builds thread, at last;-)
