Trying to settle an arguement that Goodfellas is better than Casino

    I think Goodfellas is a better movie than Casino, my brother thinks the opposite, both are great movies, whos right?

    Its opinion not black and white, right and wrong!

    But if it helps, Casino is at 8.2 on IMDB and 80% on rotten tomatoes, while Goodfellas is at 8.8 on IMDB and 97% on rotten tomatoes. :rolleyes:

    Both great films and both better then the godfather IMO. I have to say I prefer Casino but it's very close between the two.

    Scorcese movies are overrated except Alice doesn't live here anymore which is one of his least seen.

    Goodfellas has more gangsters being all gangstery, less lovey dovey drama between a hooker and a shyster.

    So Goodfellas wins. (I do like Casino, the Sharan Stone plotline drags it down though)

    Brilliant movie, the
    death scene in the desert
    will stay with me forever but I could have done with alot less Sharon Stone being a CU Next Tuesday in it and alot more "fuggetabouddit"...

    Personally, Goodfellas is a better film. Casino is great but if put between the 2 I'd choose Goodfellas.

    I just find it flows alot better.

    Whilst both movies have many similarities Goodfella's doesn't have Sharon Stone in it. So that's one thing in its favour already.
