Can any rover 75 diesel or bmw diesel experts tell me if it's possible to get the little filter for the crankcase breather on its own rather than having to buy the complete breather unit.

Is it not €70 for the filter with the plastic housing etc all together?

The filter element on its own as well as the filter with housing are available aftermarket.

I got the filter and the u-section gasket for around 30 quid.

The old PCV unit has been replaced with a new one that doesn't have a filter that needs to be replaced. Installed one in my Rover 75 recently. Cost about €60-70.
