    Register your modules, maybe?

Modules should have been registered during semester 1.

It used to go up the day after exams finished but.last year it was the first week or 2 in January before they were out.

    Is it not every semester?

Yes every semester you register your modules for the next semester. (I not 100% sure, about 99% though that this is the way. I don't need to for my course)

You register for the upcoming semester during week 1 of that semester. Timetables come out about a week or two before the semester starts...

What he said. Don't forget to register in week 1, even if you're on co-op.

Normally it's no labs/tutorials for the first week unless your module is lab based and then it's all go from week one.

Timetables should be out the week before we go back. Around the 16th, give or take a few days.

Usually labs/tutorials start week 3, but this in my (relatively short) experience of UL, this is fairly discretionary. Your lecturer will tell you in your first lecture when labs start. If you're timetabled for a lab in a module before you have a lecture, you're pretty safe to skip it.

Terrible timetable. Absolutely terrible. All early starts and I'm finished at 4 on a Friday.

Was expecting the timetable to be worse this time but it's still roughly the same as what I had last time, shuffled around a little better. Wednesday is probably my best day, 2-6. 9-6 on both Thurs and Fri. Getting my first taste of a 2 hour lecture, the thoughts of it are sickening. I am glad the last class of the week is an education tutorial though, nice wind-down!
