Villains:FG and all their "change" bs. No sooner in the door and Kenny is handing out six figure salaries for makey up jobs to his mates and some of their TDs still hanging onto their teaching jobs. No difference between them and FF.

And of course the protectors of child rapists in the Roman church deserve an honourable mention.

    Hero: Steve Jobs
    Why ?
Dennis Ritchie and John McCarthy would defintely be in the top 3 list of computing legends that died this year

Daniel McCracken was probably more influential than Jobs

His Guide to Fortran Programming appeared in 1961. It sold 300,000 copies.
Read that again - 300,000 copies in 1961 There probably weren't even that many computers world wide back then

hero: Nick Whittome for standing up for young mother and infants against Continental Airlines.

villain:David Mc Williams : Once, I looked up to you, Dave, but after your 'performance' against a dying man (we all know who I am talking about)
well, to my mind 'villain' is pretty mild. Nuff said.

    Villian. Michael D Higgins.

    +1

    Total c**t.

What he came out with yesterday is worthy of DeValera: "I hope the paupers find hope and I'll have a happy christmas on my inflated salary all the same"

We should reject greed! And not be all bitter and twisted about being screwed over by parasites - none of whom have been held to account - whose biggest worry is their golf handicap, while we pick up their tabs.

In any other country the whole place would be one big riot, but yet Michael 'D' (pretentious git) tries to put us on a guilt trip for doing nothing! What a pr1ck. It just goes to show that the Irish never learn.

I don't subscribe to the whole hero worship thing. Sure there's aspects of certain people's character that I admire but on the whole there is nobody I'd rather be than me (albeit better at most things)

Heroes: All the ordinary people who selflessly give their time to act as coaches, managers, officials and helpers to thousands of sports teams, clubs and youth projects around the country. I salute you all.

Villains: Self-serving rich people who think it's more important to devise schemes to gain even more money, hence gambling away precious funds, instead of finding something useful to spend the money on.

    I think there's a story here.

Why attempt to make a villain of someone when you dont actually know the reason you are doing it?
