    Iv looked in Tesco & Dunnes but to no avail. Where could one find Chestnuts in Waterford?!

    on a chestnut tree from early september to late october depending on the area of town here :D
    but asides that iv seen them for sale up in super value in town here just the weekend gone,i think maybe 4 euros for a punnet of them

    Superquinn have the ones you can roast. Ardkeen have the tinned/puree and vaccum packed ones.

    Horse chestnuts/conkers are poisonous so avoid them.

    Spot on Deisemum, spanish chestnut are the ones you eat had a few of them from Superquinn the other night roasted on the top of the stove with a beer, bliss.

    they have a fairly big tray of em in TKmaxx (just on the self up by the till) lovely for a present....or whatever you have planned for them:)

    I got 2 packs for €3 in SuperValu tonight. I've also got chestnut puree for making one of Nigella's sweet treats.
