PaddyPower free bet.

I recently set up a Paddy Power account (last night actually) and deposited €50. It said I was entitled to a free bet to the equivalent of my first bet which was to the sum of €50.

I log on tonight to use my €50 on a thing that is priced 6/4 and it tells me my potential returns are only €75.

I'm just wondering if anybody can explain the reason as to why this is? I have scanned their web page and it says nothing. I tried ringing but after 10 minutes of being on hold I got fed up and said I would try here.

    Anybody have any idea??

    Cheers. :)

They only give you the possible winnings back not the stake of €50 free bet.

    6/4 = 1.5 x 50 = 75. You don't get the stake back on free bets.

It's in the t's and c's - go to 'Help Centre', type 'Free Bet' and click on 'Free Bet Terms and Conditions'. See point 6: 'The free bet part of the stake is not included in any returns'.
