    Hey,

I'm staying with the folks over the Christmas for a few days - they dont have the sports/movies packs on their TV.

Is it possible for me to simply bring my box or even swap my card with all the sports & movies to their box for a few days so that I can get all the channels in their house over the christmas and then just swap back afterwards?

    Cheers
    Stephen

I doubt it's possible. The card is linked to a hardware address on the box, and to your account.

Try and see, but remember, you may cause problems, and they may consider it a breach of your Terms & Conditions, and then you may have problems with your account being locked, with no channels.

    Hi,

I moved house this year. When I rang UPC they told me that all I had to do was move the box to the new address (albeit in the same general area).

I just have the basic digital service with no Sky Sports, etc ... but I got the distinct impression that it would have worked at the new address even if I hadn't contacted them.

Yeah, don't think you can just bring the card. It's tied to the box too.

Its technically possible if you bring both the box and card. But its breaking the terms of service so there's going to be no more discussion here.
