Where did season 4 go?

Just played my placement match and still in Silver, I suppose it's an improvement on FOREVER BRONZE but not by much. My aim is that I am going to get into Gold this Season by hell or high water!

Just did my placement match, and lost due to absolutely horrible marine control but still managed to break Platinum

Bugger. Was night shift last night. Was hoping for another day so I could try break into top 8 in my division.

Oh well time to start over! Placement to be played tomorrow morning.


EDIT: Placement won, beat a silver Toss without any hassle. (Thank you Feanor/Orizio, racing to max meant I had a lot more stuff than him)
Still stuck in Bronze. However have beaten a few silver over the last few days so hopefully my MMR has gone up.

So, yeah, I just cheesed a Toss on NA to get back to Masters and then came onto EU and tried to actually macro against Toss to get that 3 gate VR all-in done to me three times in a row

If you dont play for a season you MMR will reset and you have to do 5 placement matches again, it's like having a completely new account. So, I'm a masters player but the MMR was reset and I am playing this gold guy Blaziken.

I dont have anything against him, but that thing in the end actually cracked me up. Basically what happened is I defend his attack, then I counter, crush his defenses and as he about to leave the game he accuses me of being a hacker. A mineral hacker.

I found the way he says it funny:






Oh and btw I am trying to make a youtube tutorial on how to get out of bronze as terran, will try to finish it before the new year

omfg, Khaz, are you actively playing on NA because my practice partners there are limited to say the least. I'll PM you my RealID if you're up for praaaaaaaactice.

Other than that, gz, but that's pretty standard shenanigans on NA. And, yes, the general standard of ladder is just that low in comparison to EU. It's like a serious morale boost playing on NA hahahahah

Making this tutorial is hard >_< But I'm trying to make it good.

I will see about the plat tutorial, I can certainly share my build and give some insight on scouting.

played my placement and got into platinum which was nice. Got from bronze to platinum in one season woohoo.... :P People in platinum seem to be better than they used to be, or it might be me getting bad from playing all those bronze newbes. Either way, I have some work to do to get back into diamond

Practiced for 7 hours today in an internet cafe in Cork City. Got 21 games in of which I won 15 and lost 6. Went from rank 89 in Plat to 8th. Was quite happy with today's work and I started a new strategy for Zerg too. Going to go in again for another few hours in the next few days.

I'm almost too embarrassed to reply to this since none of you are even as low as gold. I've played about 150 games since I got sc2 a couple of months ago and I'm still a total noob. I do win about 75% of matches now in bronze though, only really losing the 6 pools or other bad scouting related illnesses

I'm playing as much 2v2 as 1v1 though, so please add me guys so I've a few more people to play with over skype

Got placed in Plat again. I thought I would back in Diamond since I was beating them regularly at the end of season 4. It may say Plat, but I am Diamond at heart

I didn't realise that was where the code was gotten from. I thought it was the number beside your name... turns out that number changes every so often... what is that number for? Sniipe 210 is my number apparently.

I have played a few people who were bronze/silver or even silver/plat. (1v1/2v2)

I think it is to do with the level of competitiveness in the different modes.
Only played 2-3 2v2's myself. Would love to try more but need a stable play pattern and/or better laptop!!

Funny thought;

Was looking at sc2ranks.com and noticed that the No.1 Bronze in Europe is at 1142 points. I am at 358 points (34 wins) and mainly playing Silver players at the moment. (4th in my division,only a win from top spot though)

Doesn't seem to make sense, with so many points should he not get promoted. I know points do not get you promoted and I realise that his win rate may not be over 50/50 but having 3 times my points at this point in the season seems an indicator of ability/play level.
