    Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what this may be.

When the the car is at idle(at the lights etc) I can hear a rattle noise coming from the drivers side area. It doesn't sound like it's part of the engine noise at all but when revs are increased in goes away. This noise became apparent about 2 weeks ago, but this morning it got a lot louder, was barely noticable at first.

At first I thought it was coming from some bits and pieces I had in the door pockets but cleared them out and the noise remains.

Just to mention, its not the injectors or loud ticking noise from the engine that some gtis suffer from-like the last one I had.

Could it be a fuel line rattle? Would that be on the drivers side?

    Thanks

Had the same thing in my GTI, a cable tie did the trick. Picture isn't great but hopefully you can see where to put it.

Had the same thing in my GTI, a cable tie did the trick although I can't remember where exactly. I'll have a proper look later.

    appreciate that, thanks.
