    Hi all

    Can anyone advise if you can get a denture replaced on med card? Mine just broke in half!

    Being trying to find out for you but I can`t seem to find much apart from someone on another site saying dentures are not covered anymore even partially. Citizens advise doesn`t mention them at all in relation to medical cards. Advice somewhere else seemed to be that hse`s in different regions have different policies and to contact them so that might be your best bet.

    You have to get the dentist to write a letter saying you really need them and then either the dentist or your self can plead with the health board for the dentures.

    UPDATE


    Sorry for late reply and thanks to those who responded. Went to dentist, no problem, carried out emergency repair and dentist will seek approval for new denture from health board in New Year. She assured me, there will be no problem.
