Best place for nice/different food in cork?

    Been looking to try different foods and try get away from the takeaways.. Anyone know any nice places around that aren't that expensive but do good food?

    this all comes from watching the food network show 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dive's, There's some class food shown on there and just wondering does cork have anything like it.

    Diners, Driveins and Dives is mostly fast food!

    Not sure what to recommend based on this. Maybe KCs in douglas.

    Chance the Christmas market in town before it goes.

    German sausage in a roll with onions, pickles and mustard for a €5. Can't go wrong.
