HTC Desire can't update apps

    Hi all,

    My beloved Desire has stopped updating the apps i have installed. Any time i try and update i get an error message saying "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD Card"

    Has anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas what might be the problem?

    Any app that can be moved to the SD Card is on there(and i still have 800mb free) and on the phone itself I have 25mb free so i don't see how it can be related to not having enough space.

    Any ideas?

    Update: After googling i came across some advice saying delete a file called smdl2tmp1.asec so i done a search on the phone using astro file manager and nothing came up, so am still stuck being unable to update my apps

    What's your ram memory like? What software from Android have you on phone?
