For the long (essay) questions in BY1101 and GG1101, how many words would each essay be?

I can't speak for GG1101, but I wouldn't worry about word count in biology essays, just answer the question with as much relevant information that you can, you wont be rewarded for padding out your answer with waffle or information that hasn't been asked for.

I wrote about 3 pages for Geography and 2 and a half for Biology., To echo what Lawliet said though, quality is more important than quantity so no point wasting time writing things that aren't relevant to the question, I know in Geography you'll need all the time you can get! A plan is also a good idea and no harm throwing in a diagram or two if you can.
