I have decided to add a 3rd tv to my Aldi/Lidl silvercrest FTA system.
I know I need to buy a quad LNB and a new box but have a couple of quick questions.

Will the dish support this system or should I upgrade the dish also.
Any brand reccomendations for LNB and box.
Brother in Law has an old Sky box from his previous flat, can this be adapted for use?
Any supplier reccomendations,a fellow boardsie if possible but definitely an Irish supplier.

Thanks for any and all help.:)

The titanium quad lnb's are excellent which should work just fine with your existing dish.

Get a better dish! The Aldi/Lidl ones are rubbish.

You'll pick up a cheap one on adverts.ie and get a quad lnb.

The old skybox will work for fta minus the Skycard.

Yes I agree with zerks a sky minidsh or better would be better value . The lidl plastic bracket tends to fail regularly

I'm a bit confused here Tony. I was considering getting one of those titanium LNBs but your site says they are not compatible with the Sky minidish, yet you seem to be recommending a Sky minidish and titanium LNB to the OP. Which is it?

he said the titanium lnb would be best for your existing aldi dish. if you get a new sky mini dish you would get an lnb suitable for sky dish

I dont know why you are confused, I did not recommend a titanium for a sky dish ,the Op said he had a lidl dish

If the existing dish is a lidl dish then the titanium will work . I also said that a sky minidish with a quad (no mention of a titanium) was good value given that the lidl dishes are not very good.

I don't want to start an argument but this is what confused me. As the original query was about a quad LNB and you had already recommended the Smart titanium, it might have been better to clarify that it wouldn't be the best option if OP chose to follow the advice to change to a minidish.

Really dude? You seem to be the only one who has a problem with this. Since you did not start the thread and the OP seems fine with the advice why not just leave it be.

I asked the question because I was genuinely confused. If you don't want to be helpful, fair enough.

Thanks for the info. Will probably stay with existing dish as I have a spare one from when I bought a 2nd set up for the box and I have excellent signal strength after 4 years.

I tried the sky box on an existing feed and got nothing, obviously it is something I am doing wrong but I will play with it some more once I know it should work.

If you two keep squabbling I am going to call Santa and you will get a lump of coal in your stockings!!!
