Anyone with iPhone 4S issues with Meteor

    Just something that's bugged me.

Many people have had issues. Finally it seems the issue of no texts sent/No Service has been resolved.

But, what concerns me is many customers have been told by Meteor that they were not entitled to refund and that Meteor are not responsible for repair.

This is NOT legal. Under the Sale of Goods Act and it's referred to by ComReg, Meteor certainly are responsible for repairing any faulty phone if they sold it to you and not Apple. To be fair, Apple have been very good about accepting and arranging repairs as they could easily tell you to P off and go to who sold it to you as is meant to happen. People, understandably, have preferred to go directly to Apple as they are excellent to deal with.

BUT, if you have a major fault with the phone, under the law you are entitled to reject the goods and rescind (end) the contract. You have the right for repair, replacement, a reduction in the price you paid or a refund. Do not be put off with any clause in the Meteor contract about no refunds. Any clause like that is not worth the paper it's written on.

Your contract is with Meteor and not Apple remember. You are also not entitled to continue paying the monthly charges under your contract if you reject the phone because of a fault. You demand to cancel it without any fees.

It's worrying that Meteor have been telling people this, it's wrong and they are deliberately lying. This applies to any Network provider out there.

And note, even if the fault is "Minor" you still have the right to get a repair or replacement and if this has not worked or there is an unacceptable delay in remedying this, you are entitled to reject the goods and rescind the contract.
