just wondering if anyone has experience retro fitting xenons/HID's to a passat (2004) (b5.5)


i want to get them as a present for my dad for xmas, but they must be NCT passable, and offer much improved lighting!

You'll be needing H7R bulbs for that I'd say if its reflector lens type.

Was thinking about this myself for better lighting on the dark roads, but its difficult to choose a good quality kit.

Most seem to be cheap Chinese stuff.

The Passat has projectors so you can get a HID kit. A good one is about 200 euro. Chuck norris has the name of the website but i cannot think of it.

If you can get these in Ireland they are a good kit.

And apologies for hijacking the thread, but do you know what kit/upgrade can be done for a 01 opel vectra. The OH does alot of night time driving so I'd love to upgrade her lighting. I know very little about this specific topic so any good places to read up etc would also be greatly appreciated.

the vectra b uses a h7 bulb rob and dont have projector headlights, meaning that its not ideal for hid lights at all. if you must get the OH a kit though a h7r 4300k will minimise glare and provide the best light.
