How many people here believe that the law on Blasphemy enacted by Mr.Demont Ahern should be repealed?

Isn't it in the programme for government?

I think it is a bit pointless, anyone been charged yet? What else was going on the same weekend that the government wanted to bury by introducing this idiotic law I wonder?

I mean I remember Dermot Ahern going on about how we had to introduce it because of the constitution yet we managed to get along fine without it prior to that yet the constitution would still have required it so it sounds like he made that up TBH.

Even though it is not in the Programme for Government, I think it would be very easy to repeal now and avoid possible trouble at some future date by who knows what sect or cult.

I regret that Minister Shatter himself seems to become the issue in almost every controversial issue.

You had an almost identical thread closed yesterday.

Not up to the standard of this forum I'm afraid.

    Cheers
