As some of may or may not have noticed there have been a few changes with personnel recently with Danny, Paddy, Rónán and myself taking over the hamsters.

I thought it would be a nice idea for a sticky for us to communicate some of the nicer - in your face - features we've added (and will be adding) to boards.

    1. IE 9 Pinning

One of the nicest features of IE9 is the ability to 'pin' sites to the windows 7 taskbar with access your private messages, Post/Thread of the day and your UserCP.

    2. Voice Search on Google Chrome Browsers

Ever visit google[.com | .ie | *] from a chrome browser and notice the little microphone allowing you to use your voice to search? Well that's now on boards.

    3. Better parsing of youtube links

This was a kind of 'you had to be 'in the know' to be able to post youtube links, now you can wrap the full youtube url in

4.Post and Thread of the day

This is quite self explanatory but http://www.boards.ie/potd and http://www.boards.ie/totd now link to post and thread of the day for the current day.

These are just a small selection of features we've added as a lot of the things we have been working on have been in the background for super-sekrit and upcoming projects.
