LIDL Saorview box needs frequent reboot

    Folks

    Have one of these boxes. Its just connected by HDMI to the TV. When you switch on normally it clicks onto the HDMI channel and works fine. However,after a couple of days when you switch on, it does not default to hdmi channel and when you go to the hdmi channel manually the picture does not show despite the green light being on on the box with channel number etc.

    I though this was something to do with the USB stick being left in but that does not make any difference. Obviously a reboot sorts it and if I switched it off every night there would be no problem I suppose . Does anyone else have similar issue with this box? thanks

    That should not be happening. For peace of mind you should get it replaced. Lidl may still have one or two left/ for returns.

    This is fixed now. Not 100% sure how I did it. went into set up and changed the shcp or shhp setting(that could be the wrong name) to the opposite of what it was and have no probs now.
