    well does anyone no the answer for sure? i tried to get in contact with fas training advisor but they must be on hoildays

    He will have to have sat his junior and senior trades or equivalent.

    The mechanic needs to be time served and fas qualified, if qualified in another country they need to contact fas to get approval.

    Fas have a department dedicated to this, apprenticeship services, contact them locally, generally helpful.
