    Hi All
I have a 2006 Golf Tdi when driving slowly I am getting a "spring" like noise and a metallic clang at the rear left wheel area. This is the second Golf that this has happened with.
I have asked my garage man to investigate but he has found nothing, says suspension etc is A1.....still happening though!
Has anyone else had the same problem?

Are you able to make it do it consistently? If you can drive over the holes that make the noise with the handbrake on a little bit. That would show if it's the rear pads or not. Don't leave it on or you will overheat the pads, anyway it will start beeping at you.
I had a weak spring on the front caliper it sounded like someone hammering glass.
