    Rejection Reasons

you may as well ring them and see. ive had a few of these before, once i added a castration date online instead of a debudding date, I got them to rectify but they still put a D beside him months later, I rang and got told some load of claptrap but eventually they fixed it

Why do you hate it Karen, i think it's money for old rope doing stuff we should be doing anyway and just recording it online.
I dp admit that the rejections are a pain (I've had aroung 3 out of 80) but generally i find the dept staff alright and they'll usually sort out any invalid rejections.
As i say pure profit of €41 per animal for a bit of online work is alright by me...
    (or maybe i'm being naive???)

I may be naive myself but we only run a small suckler herd and I do the online register away from home.
I's taking the fecking biscuit to have two calves reg'd as 'ICBF Invalid error' for our small herd and no one will answer to our problems as to why we are not paid for them.
I only want to be treated fairly in our country and if i cannot get facts as to why not, then I'll complain.
But I do believe that if I apply for a scheme and am deemed unworthy of payment, that I should be told as to why the payment in tell was stopped.

41 e doesnt buy a lot of creep ration at 300e/ ton. You're supposed to feed 2kg per day for 42 days. Thats just over 3 bags/ calf, there's half the 41 euro gone.

Scheme was worth it at 80e a head, but cutting it by half made it a bit of a joke. I admit though that having calves on meal before weaning does make the weaning process simpler.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

84kgs of meal costs €21 at €250 per tonne, they will convert 84kgs of that meal into 20kg liveweight which at current prices will be worth €50, so for putting in €20 of meal you're getting €50 of weight onto their back.
If anything the SCWS has refocused farmers (myself anyway) into doing what they should have been doing anyway.

I did that twice! Upon finally getting someone on the phone, they did not have the availability of a computer to check and see the receipt of my emails.
Still have not been paid for two animals from the first year of the scheme and no one can tell me why.

Mine were paid in early December.

Once they are validated for payment you will get it at some stage.
