School Notice of Christmas Holidays

My daughters primary school sent a notice to all parents in the third week of September detailing the school holidays for the year up to June 2012.

Christmas holidays were to start Friday 23rd Dec 2011 at 12:30 so I arranged for time off to pick and look after my daughters.

Just got a text from the School that they are closing Thursday 22 Dec 2011 at 12:30. No explanation given why the day is changing. As both my Wife and I work this day this is a real problem.

I don't understand why holiday details change at such short notice. So much for holiday planning.

And before anyone tells me that Schools are not child minders I know that. What I am annoyed about is the short notice in the change of plans from an agreed date.

Christmas holidays are standardised, so every school is closing on the 22nd Dec, sounds like a typo on the list and only copped now.
