Inset Boiler Stove ?

Anyone got a recommendation for a beast of an inset Wood Burning / Multi Fuel Stove? Need to heat as many rads as possible / hot water (got a 14kw installed at the moment so reaching that would be optimal) but more important would be to dump the existing stove as its pretty crap (plumbed wrong - only one inlet, one outlet and blanked, not a hope of plumbing it right :( so don't expect a lot..) So thinking of putting in an inset stove in its place to free up some space if possible?

Would really appreciate a recommendation and if possible, a price ballpark ?

    Thanks

    FBP.

hey fatboypee, just found your thread hope that s the right word, am very new to this thing, just put in an esse 350gs boiler inset stove, i think its a fantastic little stove, great heating power out of it, with coal i would say it could get upto 16 kw, specs say 14.7 on wood a little more with coal, it heats 13 rads no trouble , 7 of them are doubles, and a full tank of hot water as well, cost is not cheap we paid 1700 euro, you could probably get a good amount knocked of that if you ordered direct from england maybe as much as 500 euro cheaper, we bought ours from a bricks and mortar shop locally, mainly because we heard good things about them, its an english stove so kept a good bit of the final price in ireland, as it was southern stoves who sourced the stove for us, having a stove that did not work properly after paying that amount of money over was giving me a headache for weeks before we got this done, mainly because of what i read on postings like this, so when a guy locally got a stove from southern stoves and had it fitted by them i decided they were the guys i was going to get to buy and fit our stove, hope this helps you to decide.

Hi, you really need to know the boiler size required based on your heating and hot water requirements. You could measure your rads and compare to an online radiator schedule to get a very rough idea on the KW required or get a plumber to visit.

Standard sized inset stove are generally 14 kw max this is shared between room output and boiler output.

There is the Aarrow EB12HE. this is 5kw to room and 12kw to water using coal

There are bigger inset boiler stoves but more expensive and the fireplace would need remodelling to fit.
