SIMI Paperwork

    Hi,

I am going through the small claims court with a dealer for various reasons I won't go into. However, when I bought the car I didn't get a copy of the SIMI paperwork that the sales guy filled in.

Now, I think that something could have been added later by the dealer and I can't prove it either way. Does anyone know what happens to all the carbon copies? SIMI say that they don't receive one. It's the big book that they all fill the sales in.

I'd love to find an original to have it compared with what was sent to the court (a photocopy).

    Any help gratefully appreciated.

You should have one of them.

There's 3 copies. One goes to you, one goes in a filing cabinet at the dealership, and the last stays in the book of forms.

I should have one I know but I wasn't given it and at the time was eager to get out of the dealership.

Oh well, thanks for the info guys.
