Macbook Pro Black Screen of Death

    Looks like I'm the latest casualty of the 2007 MBP Black Screen of Death. Sent it off to Apple Repair People (I'm in Cumbria at the moment so went to Stormfront.co.uk) who say that yes, it's the dodgy graphics card/board that has fried and that it would cost £950 to repair. The dude also said Apple won't replace it for free because they were only replacing the dodgy NVidia card up to 4 years from purchase.

    I purchased it at end of October 2007 so I'm 2 months out.

    Gutted.

    (on the upside, however, I'm now gonna have to get a new one) ;)
