    Hi,

On Friday my mother's house was burgled and part of what was stolen was a collection of old currency. The stuff would be fairly hard to shift, most of it would only be accepted by the Central bank. The stolen currency included, amongst other things:

A-Series Notes - all in excellent condition, enclosed in plastic wallets:
    100
    50
    20
    10
    5

Various B-Series Notes - all in excellent condition, enclosed in plastic wallets.

    4 or 5 10 Shilling Notes

    Some 2 dollar bills.

    No serial numbers recorded unfortunately.

A few English crowns etc. I have no idea how precious these items are in terms of value but they are very precious to my mother.

I presume this stuff would be hard to shift? Is there any hope of putting the word out and getting lucky with a dealer or?

    Thanks.

On the contrary it would be very easy to shift stuff like this - eBay and numerous other outlets for coins and banknotes. You would be wasting your time asking dealers to watch out for them.
