Awards - Training Log of the Year

If I am to be a bit critical, why is a training log with just 3 pages of posts nominated for the best training log of the year? There is very little content in that training log thus far, and it appears that it is only being nominated on that back of the OP's past performances.

It's been nominated by at least two other posters - which I understand is the criteria. Vote for another one :)

Village Runner had a log earlier this year too, which should be taken into consideration. He might not post a lot in his logs, but what he does post is jaw-dropping

As I said in the other thread don't have a pop at other nominations. They were nominated by people and if you don't agree with it dont vote for them simple as.

In previous years the voting threads have been closed to just voting however i decided to keep it open to allow people to write the reasons on why people feel they are worth a vote not have a pop at other

As one people mentioned in their nomination that log got a vote for its brutal honesty

I think keeping the threads open for (positive) comments is a great idea - sometimes it's good to have that bit of context to understand why a poster/performance/thread is so special.

Not having a pop at the OP of that log, but if these awards things are going to be done, it is only natural that it might create a bit of debate. No different to the IAAF awards. No way on earth should Usain Bolt have won. It's all a popularity contest, just like the boards awards :)

Anyway, I'll have a think and vote later:).

My vote goes to Krusty for the simple reason that his race reports are of sub 2:15 marathon standard. Two thumbs up!

My vote goes to ShotgunMCOS - he details his methods clearly, lays out his plans, gives progress updates, is honest when things are not going well and shows what he's done to get things back on track. All in all, if you want a detailed look at how to build a house, MCOS's log was excellent.
His bits on triathlon training were pretty good too.

Not really. It is "Training Log of the Year", not "Best poster with a Training Log".

Great nominees and essential reading. I read El D, JBs and shotgunmcos regularly. Great tips and written honestly with some
    great insights.

An unhealthy interest in charts mind you ;) Inspiring is an often over used word but those logs get me off my arse when I feel lazy.

Also read the other logs too.

Couldn't vote for one over the other though.
