car insurance question??

    just looking for a definite answer to this question. i have my car insured fully comp and with a name driver on the policy. if the name driver crashes will he be covered fully comp or only 3rd party?? any help appreciated

    Named driver gets the same cover as you unless there is a stipulation in the policy to reflect specific circumstances. In other words, SOME insurers reduce cover to TP Fire & Theft if the named driver is under 25 or a provisional licence holder.

    cant make it out from d insurance cert but he is well over 25 nd full licence so hopefully it will be fully comp. id say d only way to get a definate answer is to ring d insurance company

    That is the only way. Taking someones word for it on here is just ridiculous.

    OP, if you can dig out your insurance schedule you will find the info there. This is normally a one page sheet that is issued with your cert and disc. It contains a list of clauses such as "driving of other cars included" etc. If cover is restricted for your named driver, you'll find a clause stating something like: "cover is restricted to Third Party Fire & Theft for (e.g.) John Smith". If that clause doesn't appear then they have Comprehensive.
