    Lucas is the leader of the Green Party of England and Wales (or "Plaid Werdd Cymru a Lloegr", as the Welsh call it) and her party's only MP.

    Residual material from what exactly?

    The "sludge" from the cows and the humans is stored together in digesters
    which are heated to about 36 deg.The digester works the same as stomach where the bugs breakdown the solids,i.e the sludge.When the sludge breaksdown it produces gas CH4/metahne.Also the more toxic H2S or hydrogen sulphide is produced.The methane is used in the burners and i also presume to heat the digesters making things fairly self sufficent.
    When the solids are broken down there is still sludge in the digester only not as thick or pungent as what went in first day.This "waste" still needs to be dealt with,and i guess from the pictures of the gardens,its dug back into the soil.
