    I have a river on the farm that i work a water ram pump off to supply water for the farm. I am wondering does anyone here have a river with a generator working or know someone that has, as i want to set one up along side the ram pump

    Theres a lad on the cavan monaghan border, runs off a small river he has a fair size dam though. genny is set down at the bottom of hill dam up top and he uses a tapered pipe so with the gravity weight and taper has a very good pressure. he set up an old sawmill off it a few years back too. Hes pretty helpful and usually only too happy to explain the set up and workings of the whole thing. I think he generates enough to run four or five houses but theres some sort of stipulation he sells back to the grid instead.
