ePad 7' Tablet Wifi issues

    Hello,

Hope this is in the correct place. This would be an issue general to android.

I purchased an ePad 7' yesterday, however, I seem to be having problems connecting to the wifi in my house. I enter the details (SSID) into the wifi section, but get an error message saying "out of range". Any ideas why this is? Is there any other way to connect? I have a netopia router through eircom.

    Cheers,

    Alan

They can be fairly buggy when it comes to wifi. What normally works is jst powering it off and on again when the wifi wont connect.

You can try changing the rom on them too, there are loads of sites with custom roms made for them that are better then what came on it (can be tricky working out what model you have though)

Cheers for the response. What do you mean by change rom?

Its quite odd, the wifi is full strength when Im sitting beside modem, the further i move away from it the worse it gets. My laptop is connected to the wireless anywhere in the house without problems.

    Any ideas?

If your laptop connects anywhere with a decent signal and if at the same point in time and the same place the tablet doesn't then the wireless adapter in your laptop is superior to the one in the tablet.
