Vivitek H1080FD verticle lines issue

I just turned on my projector today to find that I have a lot of verticle lines. This covers the menu screen and any films I try to watch so it's definitely an issue with the projector itself. It's still under warranty so i'm pretty sure I can get it repaired. Does anybody know how this has happened? Is this normal wear and tear or are these projectors faulty?

I searched for similar issues and it seems the motherboard on the projector might be damaged. Could be due to an over-heating issue. I am not sure though.

Same happened to my infocus recently. main board needs to be replaced so getting a new projector. I read from other forums that it can also be a colour wheel coming loose.

if it's under warranty, best get send it back for repairs or replacement
