Undue Influence in Planning - anyone any experience of this

Am in a situation where i feel there has been undue influence in an objection to planning i had made, the planning in question has been granted. While i can accept this i feel there was "interference" of some sort in the process in dealing with my letter of objection.

What are my options apart from an bord pleanala as they may only deal with the planning issue. Without going into it online in detail. Has anyone been asked to change their letter of objection - twice - by a planning official after it was submitted and accepted? the letter may have actually been supressed for a while from what i can see.
If i make an official complaint to the planning authority in question (can you do this) it will be only dealt with after the 4 week period for appealing to An bord Pleanala has passed and get me nowhere really.

I feel i have to appeal just because of the fact i feel someone has interfered in the process locally but from what i can see an bord pleanala will only deal with the planning side of things which may go against me again. None of my concerns were taken into consideration what so ever when granting the planning which i do find a little strange. If there are any planning consultants/experts etc out there who may be able to throw some light on the process it would be great. I can accept a fair decision but do not like the feeling that there was interference from someone in how the planners reached their decision. Apologies if i am being a little vague

If you feel you have a valid objection to the application (you clearly do as you feel it was suppressed), you should appeal it to an bord Pleanala. They will look at it in a fair manner, will take your concerns/points on board and make a decision based on all the info available to them.
If your concerns in relation to the development are deemed to be valid, they will refuse permission or alter the permission as they see fit.
Has your original objection letter remained on the planning file?

Exactly as mickdw said, if you feel you have valid concerns which were not addressed appeal the planning permission.

Also consider getting some professional help in preparing the appeal.
